Structure + Data + AI + Rules → Intelligence

The magic isn't in the model — it's in the structure you give it. I'm a structure & model specialist: I make the tools you already run — and your AI — produce reliable, governed, explainable intelligence. I don't sell a framework; I make your stack do more.

Proof in the life, not the slide I run my own work and life on this architecture before I bring it to a client.
Rules are the wedge Everyone says data + AI. The missing word — the one that makes it reliable — is rules.

Known for making the complex clear — architecture, models and processes turned into diagrams people actually understand.

The stance

Most people experience AI as a magic box.

Type something clever, something impressive comes out, and tomorrow it remembers nothing. Impressive demo, unreliable in real work.

The architect's stance is the opposite. Output quality is a function of the structure around the model — the context it can see, the memory it carries, the rules that encode your standards, the data wired in. Get the structure right and good output stops being luck. It becomes repeatable. That's the difference between a toy and an instrument.

It's where the whole field is heading. More and more code is generated by AI — and it only produces work you can trust if it has a solid foundation to generate against: clear rules, curated patterns, a model of what "correct" means. Building that foundation is exactly what I've done for 25 years.

What I offer

Two ways to work together.

Short engagements

Focused, senior, time-boxed — a few weeks, clear scope. Together we choose the patterns, prove them, and build them — documented as we go. Assessment, foundation build, or advisory.

Training

AI and rules in practice — the structure-beats-magic approach and how teams actually apply it, with your data.

One concrete example

A risky SQL migration, made verifiable.

Migrating transformations between platforms usually means a rewrite you cross your fingers on. Comparing only the final output tells you that something differs across 50,000 rows — not which step caused it.

I built CTE-by-CTE regression testing: compare each transformation step before and after, so the diverging step is pinpointed, not guessed. Root cause found, not just symptom — migration debugging roughly 10× faster. The same discipline now underpins how I make AI output reliable.

A good fit

Who this works well for.

This works best for innovative data & AI teams and leaders who want AI that's reliable and explainable, not just impressive — and who are ready to build a foundation rather than buy a magic box. If that's where you are, we'll get on well.

Follow the journey

Where this goes next.

I've just stepped away from the bank to build something of my own — around structure, data and AI. If you'd like to follow where this goes — occasional, personal updates on what I'm building and learning, and first word when workshops or new work open up — leave your details below. And if there's something on your mind, a question or a challenge you're chewing on, tell me. I read everything.

No spam, no list-rental, no hard selling. Just the occasional honest update — and you can leave any time.

If this is the way you want to build, let's talk.
